Came here as The Red Barn was full. Glad we did. Lots of seating outside and the food was fantastic. Average of about 15 a head but well worth it in my opinion. It was on a Friday and food was served from 1730. Definitely a revisit in the future

Situated in woolacombe up the side street next to the amusements at the end,first time here as we normally go to the red barn. Drinks are much cheaper here than the red barn. The beer garden is set in a court yard with comfortable,ample seating.there is also free pool and they also have live music nights. If your a rum drinker they have lots of different rums to try. Music playing I the background while you drink and socialise outside. I really recommend you pay Captain Jack's a visit. It used to be a farmhouse,the oldest building in woolacombe. Lots of history.

After a long walk a pint was really needed, glad to find Captain Jack open as not many places are open in Woolacombe on a grey January Sunday.. And the pool table was free and free..

There is seating inside and out. Most people were sitting outside as the weather was good. If you go round the back there are toilets with 1 step up, the width of the toilet is the width of the door. There could be more toilets, not sure where. The meals we had were hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a small car park at the rear.

Really great pub with a huge selection of drinks & food. Dog friendly & good amount of seating both in & outside. Really recommend for a post beach day dinner.

Absolutely love it. Walked in the door and asked for a " Hunters chicken ", as advertised on the window outside. And" Joe" the barmaid got it sorted for me and a curry for the other half. And a lovely pint of " Mena du" into the bargain. Worth every penny. Will definitely be back and looking at booking a room at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel next year.. a beautiful little town/ village. Fantastic beach ( spent an hour just watching the surfers in the surf ). All in all... an excellent visit.

Called in for lunch and got a thoroughly warm welcome. The food was absolutely brilliant, lots of it, great quality and delicious. Dog friendly and every member of staff was really friendly. I would return here in a heartbeat.

My favourite bar ever! It hasn't changed since the 90's ...just love the vibe. If you come to Woolacombe then you simply have to have a drink and some food here. Shoot some pool, tunes on the juke box, cosy, chilled and wonderful!
